To meet the challenge of preparing students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds to be competitive for college admission and college ready, UCLA’s Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) seeks to partner with targeted high schools to achieve this goal.

The EAOP High School component provides services and opportunities directly to students and parents in participating EAOP schools.  Specifically, the goals of EAOP are to increase the academic competitiveness of students so they are college ready and admissible to most selective colleges upon high school graduation by successfully completing the UC A-G requirements and college entrance exams.  EAOP is an academic preparation program that prepares students for the opportunity to make college possible by working together with families, educators, schools and communities to promote and cultivate a college-going culture.
